Chiara is a small and lovely baby that I had the pleasure to photograph 8 days after her birth. As a mum was telling, I was the first visitor since their return from the hospital. Therefore, Chiara was beginning her comeback to her home as a star with her first photo shoot! I loved photographing her, Chiara was such a lovely baby to shoot :).
Axelle is Louiza’s gorgeous daugther. As a newborn photographer, I am always happy to meet the little baby I have been photographing in her mum’s belly.
With her 2.8 kg, Axelle was a “little shrimp” as her mother was calling her during the newborn photo session. Even being so tiny, Axelle slept well and was wonderful during the photoshoot. That was my first time seeing a baby with two-colored hair. Therefore, I could not not shoot that in macro mode! I let you discover below the images made during Axelle’s newborn photoshoot.
Louiza had prepared a wonderful decoration for Axelle’s bedroom. Si you like the beautiful handmade cuddle dolls you see on the previous photos, you can buy them at the furniture and decoration shop Petit toi in Lausanne!
I just want to say one last thing regarding the last picture and safety precautions that were taken during this newborn photoshoot to make this pose. This is what we call a photo composite, meaning I used Photoshop to erase Axelle’s mother hand from Axelle’s back. Indeed, during the whole posing process, Axelle was always maintained to avoid any startling move from her (even thought she is sleeping). Therefore, do not try to reproduce this pose on this type of object without the use of composite because it can be risky and dangerous for the baby if it is not done the right way.

For a newborn photo session, the best is to book my services before your term so that you do not have any bad surprise after his/her birth as my schedule gets quickly full. Unfortunately, we sometimes forget about booking a baby photographer as there are so many things coming together around the term date. The problem is, to have the most relaxing newbonr photoshoot, it has to take place with a baby between 4 and 10 days old. After 15 days, your baby will be less curly and more importantly more active and less sleepy, which make give us a harder time to get similar poses to those that you can find in my newborn photographer portfolio. Having that in mind, you can still book a baby photosession but you have to stay conscious about those differencies. Therefore, if you are pregnant, do not hesitate to contact me before your term so that we can calmly organize the newborn photo session.
After the pregnancy photoshoot of her lovely family, I have been able to meet the newest addition in the family, Eloise Rose. Such a cute baby that I photographed 11 days after her birth. Her whole family was gathering around her birth and it was a real pleasure to accompany them through this important step in their family history. Antonella, Eloise Rose’s big sister, was wonderfully helpful to take care of her little sister during this baby photoshoot. You already know Mathis’ parents from their maternity photo shoot we made in the Lavaux vineyards during summer before the birth of th their baby. Mathis was a true angel to photograph, sleeping really well and being peaceful while I was handling the different poses. For this last newborn photo session, I had the great pleasure to meet the little Elio, 15 days old. Helped with his parents, I could make this newborn photoshoot. Elio cried a little during the shoot but his daddy knew how to calm him and make him sleep again. Parents are always a great help during those newborn photosessions and I love having them by my side for them to have wonderful memories of this newborn photo shoot that can sometimes make the parents stress out when they are afraid their baby won’t behave “well”. I always explain that a true newborn photographer takes the time to adapt to the baby and its rythm so that he/she feels at ease. Patience and sweetness are critical for a newborn photographer.
