As a photographer specialized in childbirth and baby, I can tell you there are different ways of deciding over a baby photo shoot according to your baby’s age. In fact, it all depends on your wishes but I can only advise you on making multiple baby photo shoots following baby’s growth to see how much your baby has grown during the first years of life. As a professional Geneva photographer, I travel a lot in the whole French-speaking part of Switzerland and I love discovering new places, such as this Geneva photo session with a family at the Parc des Bastions in the Geneva center. The beautiful family of the day wanted a family portrait session at the Parc des Bastions in Geneva as it representsa special place to the new parents. Indeed, it is at the Bastions parc that mum and dad met together. A great love story was born and started in Geneva. After their baby’s birth, parents naturally wanted family portraits to be made in the heart of Geneva at the parc des Bastions to keep on recording important family events.

1 month-old baby photo shoot in Montreux: Monira

It is better making the baby photo shoot in the first days after baby’s birth for an optimal newborn photo session at home. But sometimes, there are cases when, even booked during pregnancy, the newborn photo session is made later than planned. In Monira’s case, I met her 6 weeks after her birth, simply because her parents were in Montreux on the Geneva lakeside for their holidays.

In the title, I put the mention of a 1 month baby photo shoot but it is in fast a 1 and a half month baby photo session but it would have been too long for a title ;). Starting 1 month old baby, your baby sleeps less (it is already the case after 15 days of life to be more precise) and it gives us less freedom for the photo poses. لعبة بلبل It is therefore why the newborn photo session is best done before 1 month old but can be made after 1 month old with special modifications of the poses following your baby flexibility and liking.

As you know it, I am a newborn photography specialist. Anyway, my expertise in photography does not stop at this early stage of your baby’s life as I also offer baby photo sessions at different stages of baby growth: when baby holds her head on the tummy, when baby stays seated and when your baby starts walking. Each baby is unique and growth at her own’s path, there is therefore no specific month to schedule a baby photoshoot and everything depends on baby with every moment of her first year worth being captured with baby photography.

Of course, these baby photoshoots are, also for me, special moments that I treasure. I feel truly thankful to families who welcome me for a newborn photo session at home and I measure my luck when they hire me again to create gorgeous images for their family heirloom. And everytime, what a shock to see baby again and how much she/he has grown and changed while keeping newborn features from the newborn photo session.

Baby photo shoot Morges: Alexandre & Yvan

As a twin newborn photographer, I had already photographed Alexandre and Yvan right after their birth. What a pleasure to see them again for a new photo session during the spring season at the Tulip Festival in Morges! We were able to show how much the twins have grown up since their twins’ newborn photo session in this outdoor family photo session.

The Tulip festival is held yearly in Morges in the Parc de l’Indépendance during spring time. You have to be careful about the time tulips will be ready for the festival. It all depends on the weather forecast. It is such a beautiful place, I greatly recommend you to visit the Tulip festival to see more than 120 000 tulips and 300 different varieties. The Morges Tulip Festival is a great place for a lovely and spring seasoned photo session environment for great pictures.
